Youths, Orphans and Women Development Initiatives (YOWEDI)
----------------------------------------------------------
INTRODUCTION
Our Society today emits so much paradox and hostility that many, es-
pecially the women generally regarded as being vulnerable and the
youths in our midst, some who are orphans, have been subjected to
great astonishments and to agonizing situations of no health, no
wealth and no hope. The youths particularly find it almost practi-
cally impossible to articulate the inevitable future. This is an is-
sue of great concern to all patriotic Nigerians.
The Significance of women as producers and trainers, and of youths as
nation builders and leaders of tomorrow cannot be over estimated. Any
society desirable of sustainable and authentic development, on the
foundations of justice and truth, without recourse to its available
women and youths, does so at its own peril. This is the foundation on
which YOWEDI was conceived. It is a forum for the promotion of social
justice and the empowerment of women and youths towards a better and
greater Nigeria.

YOWEDI is committed to excellence and social justice, youths and
women empowerment through initiatives aimed at education, vocational
skills training for income and self-reliance and a philosophy which

and patriotism.
