The Contemporary Africa Database, according to its about page, will eventually be in three parts - a database of prominent Africans, a collection of information about African institutions, and a timeline of African chronology.
Currently only the first is available (the other two will become available over the next two years) but it of itself is
I would love to see more profiles, but this is an excellent start. I look forward to the addition of African institutions and a timeline to this site.
