  • Haiti: From trafficking to debt

    Jérôme Duval | Global Pan-Africanism
    23.11.2017

Haiti, the first black republic, is owed billions of dollars by France that could turn around the lives of its people. • Doing without advice from Deloitte?

Jérôme Duval | Labour & Political Economy
    16.11.2017

Deloitte says it wants to fight tax evasion, and yet they give advice on how to divert money. • G4S: When a private company is in charge of your security

Jérôme Duval | Violence & Peace
    13.04.2017

The security context in Europe today doesn’t make everybody unhappy, especially among firms that have specialised in security and surveillance, among them the British G4S, to which many governments subcontract their dirty work, ranging from prison management to the deportation of migrants. • Tax evasion, crime of the rich at the expense of the poor

Jérôme Duval | Global South & Transnational Struggles
    24.11.2016

Tax evasion merits serious attention and global efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice. But there is a clear lack of willingness by the beneficiaries to support such efforts. A resolution on tax evasion and the need to return the stolen assets to the so-called "developing" countries was adopted at the UN Council of Human Rights on 24 March 2016. No European state voted in favour.
