SUBJECT: SHURO-Net WELCOMES RELEASE OF ALL POLITICAL PRISONERS DETAINED IN SOMALILAND

The context of this information on the extraordinary behaviour of the government of Somaliland and in particular of its Assistant Minister for Justice (sic) Tallabo is of the increasingly authoritarian and extra-legal tendencies of the Hargeisa government.

In the illegally conducted general assembly, a government employee was appointed as Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the self-proclaimed group, and a recently sacked SHURO employee as the Secretary General.
