Now in its 14th year Poetry Africa is organised by the Centre for Creative Arts (University of KwaZulu-Natal), one of the earliest initiators of African literary festivals – the CCA also produces the Time of the Writer festival.

Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights have confirmed that 83 WOZA (Women of Zimbabwe Arise) members are being held at Harare Central Police Station.

In Zimbabwe, it would seem that the definition of heroism is controlled by Zanu PF alone.
