Wendy Wanja Mutegi is a human rights lawyer and community organiser who currently chairs the Law and Social Development Trust (LASODET), an organisation dedicated to the defence of indigenous and environmental rights in Kenya.

President Jean-Bertrand Aristide returned to Haiti in March 2011. Upon his return he stated that he would commit himself to help educate Haiti’s citizens through the Aristide Foundation.

We, the undersigned, concerned citizens, women’s organizations’, activists and progressive groups , condemn in the strongest terms possible the alleged sexual violence and indecent act against the body and person of Shailja Patel.
