PREAMBLE

Centre for Law and Research International (CLARION), the Coalition for Constitution Implementation (CCI) and their affiliate organizations, concerned with the runaway insecurity in the country and the slow pace of police reforms, today state as follows:

We as civil society condemn the terror attacks in the country and most recently in Likoni where 6 innocent lives were lost. We offer our condolences to the family and friends of those who were killed and our prayers for a quick recovery of the injured.

The five-day workshop which ends on March 21, 2014 is designed by the Southern Africa Trust to enhance the capability of civil society leaders in southern Africa to engage policy makers and leaders in other sectors of society.

The Right2Know Campaign is both saddened and outraged at the increasing incidences in recent months of protesters being killed by the police.
