Action for Development (ACFODE), a gender advocacy development organization that seeks to promote women’s empowerment, gender equality and equity in Uganda is looking for an Economic Policy Advocacy Officer.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Economic Policy, Advocacy Officer The candidate will be responsible for conducting gender impact analysis of economic policies, gender budgeting, networking, resources mobilization and conducting action oriented research. He/She will be responsible for formulating, implementing and monitoring gender sensitive economic programmes of the organisation.

The candidate should have
- A degree in economics (preferred) and training in gender will be a pre-requisite.
- Thorough knowledge and experience of working with gender issues.
- Experience in Policy and Gender Analysis
- Demonstrated skills in Gender and Economic Policy Analysis
- Relevant experience in lobbying and advocacy
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Skills in Project proposal writing, work plans and budget preparation Other skills • A minimum of three years working experience in development related work; preferably, NGOs ( both local and international)
