At the moment, we are looking at two positions to be filled: Civil Society Programme and Senior Programme Manager/Consultant.

At the moment, we are looking at two positions to be filled:

Civil Society Programme
Senior Programme Manager/Consultant
Angola

Ibis in Southern Africa is in the process of launching a new generation of civil society programs with a focus on the level of community-based organizations/social movements.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Programme Manager/Consultant to develop a new programme for Angola. It can be a part or full time job based in Luanda, or a part time consultancy contract for 12-15 months over two years of which most will be spent in Angola.

The successful candidate will refer to the Ibis Regional Office in Windhoek from where he/she will also be provided with managerial, financial and administrative backing and support.

Required qualifications:

· Relevant university background
· Broad and deep experiences with Civil Society programme development from the region and elsewhere underpinned by strong theoretical knowledge of the subject area.
· Experience within the field of HIV/AIDS an asset
· Networking skills
· Leadership and management skills, including planning and the ability to work independently
· Fluency in Portuguese and English
· Previous experience from Angola an asset.

NB: Potential candidates must submit a 3-5 page proposal/motivation about how to proceed with the implementation of a new Civil Society Programme.

Ibis in Angola works to support the rebuilding of Angolan society after decades of war. The programme is seen in the context of building up at the local level of social infrastructure, including local governance structures and local education structures.

Ibis is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the position as Senior Programme Manager/Consultant to be preferably based in Luanda.

The successful candidate will refer to the Ibis Regional Office in Windhoek from where he/she will also be provided with managerial, financial and administrative backing and support.

Required qualifications:

· Relevant university and professional background
· Broad and deep experiences with education programme development from the region and elsewhere underpinned by strong theoretical knowledge of the subject area
· Experience within the field of HIV/AIDS an asset
· Networking skills
· Leadership and management skills, including planning and the ability to work independently
· Strong skills in personnel management, strategic planning, financial planning and control
· Good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
· Fluency in Portuguese and English
· Previous experience from Angola an asset.
