Eisa's Elections & Political Processes Unit (EPP) has a vacancy for a Programme Assistant. Responsibilities required include:
- Attend to the Departmental general administration;
- Set up and participate in workshops, roundtables and conferences;
- Prepare reports.
PROGRAMME ASSISTANT - Elections & Political Processes Unit (EPP)
EISA is a not for profit section 21 company located in Johannesburg,
South Africa. EISA's mission is to strengthen electoral processes,
good governance, human rights and democratic values through research,
capacity building, advocacy and other targeted interventions. EISA
services electoral commissions, political parties, civil society
organisations and other institutions.
The EPP Unit has a vacancy for a Programme Assistant.
The following responsibilities and qualifications are required for the
position to be filled:
Responsibilities:
.Attend to the Departmental general administration
.Set up and participate in workshops, roundtables and conferences
.Prepare reports
.Liaise with EISA partners
.Handle the administration and logistics of Election Observer Missions
.Draft correspondence
.Any other activities that may be necessary as directed by the
Departmental Manager to support the Department's activities and vision
.Report to the Departmental Manager
Qualifications:
.Undergraduate degree preferably in the Social Science field
.Experience in administration and logistical support of major
conferences and meetings
.Excellent computer skills
.Basic financial skills
.Minimum 3 years organisation and administration experience
.Driver's licence and be prepared to travel throughout the SADC region
.Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
.Proven ability to work with partners and to communicate at all levels
.Strong written and oral communication skills
