For over 30 years, CIIR/ICD has been placing workers in development
projects and has on average around 100 skilled professionals working
in Latin America, the Caribbean, South East Asia, Africa and the
Middle East.

One-Month Contract

We are seeking a consultant who will work together with the National
HIV/AIDS Steering Committee comprising six ministers (health,
education, cultural, religion, information and family development &
social affair), the National HIV/AIDS Technical Committee, local
NGOs, religious leaders, community leaders, to assist in developing a
national HIV/AIDS policy for Somaliland as a major strategy towards
HIV/AIDS prevention and control.

You will have a minimum of 5 years direct work experience on the
development of social sector systems and policies in developing
countries and HIV/AIDS in particular. Experience in qualitative
methodologies and participatory/consultative processes and working on
HIV/AIDS issues with Muslim populations are essential.

Previous experience of liaising with a range of different
organisations at a policy level, the ability to organise and
facilitate workshops and to promote a gender sensitive approach to
issues relating to HIV/AIDS are essential.

Terms and Conditions:

"X The contract will be for a one-month period based in
Somaliland. Some initial preparatory work may be required before
departure.

"X ICD will pay NGO consultancy rates for the period of the
contract.

"X ICD will pay for return flights to Somaliland, visa costs and
in-country accommodation and meals.

"X Transport within Somaliland will be covered by ICD.

"X ICD is not able to pay insurance costs for the duration of
this contract.
