Naledi nominated for web award
The National Labour & Economic Development Institute (NALEDI) has been nominated for the “Best Labour Website Of The Year”. The annual competition run by Laborstart, an international union news service, sees union and labour websites throughout the world bidding for the title. The website with the most votes cast in its favour walks away with the sought after title.

The annual competition run by Laborstart an international union news service, sees union and labour websites throughout the world bidding for the tittle. The website with the most votes cast in its favour walks away with the sought after tittle.
NALEDI’s website has been proudly serving the South African mass-organised labour for four years. Established in 1998, the site has been instrumental in equipping unions in gearing for the challenges facing labour by providing policy relevant research. In ensuring labour's readiness and ability as a progressive institution and a responsive entity, the website is regularly updated with news articles published in the newspapers by NALEDI researchers. Also available online is the Policy Bulletin, NALEDI’s quarterly magazine that reports on current research and raises broader policy debate by inviting comment from various stake-holders.
The website is popular with affiliates of the Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU), labour research students, academics and policy monitoring organisations.
