A significant moment has arrived in West Africa that cannot be overlooked. At least six countries in the sub-region are currently undergoing constitutional review processes, including Benin, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, Senegal and Sierra Leone.

I have always advocated for a full-scale socio-political restructuring of Nigeria. The reason is simple.

Uhuru Kenyatta inaugurated his presidency, just over a year ago, by the following declaration, “Achieving peace and strengthening unity will be the goal of my government. This work begins now”.

As a child grows from infancy, it is subjected to a virtual bombardment of thoughts and ideas, rules and regulations, moral principles, values and life strategies.
