The Transform Network comprises 6 training organisations in East
and Southern Africa as well as a partner, Transform Africa, in the UK. Our four-year gender project seeks to research, train and advocate new ways of tackling gender issues from an African perspective, with a focus on African NGOs. We also seek to advocate to European NGOs.

£23,340 (pro-rata) Part time (60%)
The Transform Network comprises 6 training organisations in East
and Southern Africa as well as a partner, Transform Africa, in the UK.
Our 4 year gender project seeks to research, train and advocate new ways of tackling gender issues from an African perspective, with a focus on African NGOs. We also seek to advocate to European NGOs.
You will be London based but will work in a network wide team led by our Ugandan partner (CDRN), providing methodological and advocacy support, and working on projects. You will travel to Africa occasionally. You will also provide advice on other Transform work. You will be a proven practitioner with at least five years relevant experience, strong analytical, writing and communication skills, and good people skills. You will have a long association with African culture(s) and preferably speak one or more African language. Closing date 26.6.02. Interviews 10.7.02.
