  • Ending the rule of the Nigerian lackey: No traitors allowed in the presidency

Olurotimi Osha | Popular Participation & Democratization
    16.02.2018

Most of Africa’s past, even present, leaders have been complicit in the misrepresentation of Africa, as they have often been instruments of neo-colonialism. African leaders, with any sign of bravery are often summarily sabotaged, if not executed—invariably with the aid of fellow Black Africans. Africa needs who have Africans' interests at heart.

  • Exposing Canada’s resource theft in Zambia

Yves Engler | Labour & Political Economy
    20.07.2017

In Zambia, as with elsewhere in Africa, Canada’s mining industry, foreign policy and neoliberalism overlap tightly. It is a subject Canadians ought to pay attention to if they want their country to be a force for good in the world.

  • Draft platform of Africana Mass Party

Biko Agozino | Popular Participation & Democratization
    11.05.2017

Africa needs a democratic revolution led by the working people. For that to happen, the united peoples of Africa must start their own socialist party whose primary goal is to take over state power from the neocolonial bourgeoisie and their imperialist allies. Once in power, the party must embark on a revolutionary programme of actualizing Africa’s unfinished liberation.

  • Returning to the home that is no more there

    Mahdi Ganjavi | Global Pan-Africanism
    20.04.2017

For Ngũgĩ, in the struggle against capitalist colonialism there is no home left to return to. Whether within one’s own country or outside, home is the place and space of struggle. Like for Frantz Fanon, for Ngũgĩ the struggle against colonialism is linked to the struggle against capitalism. It is a struggle against the bourgeoisie, both national and international.

  • The benefits and misfortunes of capitalism and racism: An integral part of the South African history

    Sehlare Makgetlaneng | Governance
    06.04.2017

Since 1994 South Africa has been unable to seriously change the national socio-economic direction in the interest of the majority of the people. The end of apartheid has helped to increase SA’s integration into global capitalism. The benefits and misfortunes of capitalism and racism are mass poverty for the majority and wealth and privileges for the powerful minority, which includes a few blacks.

  • Reflections on post-US elections geopolitics: Part Seven

Yash Tandon | Popular Participation & Democratization
    09.03.2017

In this final essay of a seven-part series, Yash Tandon depicts fascism as a systemic phenomenon arising from the incompatibility of democracy and capitalism. For capitalism to persist, as is the case now, democracy is dispensed with. Hegemonic imperialist powers embody fascism in their relations with the rest of the world. Leaders of African neo-colonies administer the fascist system on behalf of the global corporate and financial fascism.
